Sai's Adaptive Painting

Post: # 33236Post arcnkd

...Is absurdly broken and ridiculously OP against even the slightest AoE skill. What's worse - it has zero limits to how high it can stack; triggers off of continual damage DoTs; and needs to be brought into line with a cap on how many times it can stack - it's just ridiculous how high that skill can go.

Not to mention I have now faced about 3 or 4 different resetters using Kakashi - Zaku - Sai for invisible counters and Sai's broken Painting.

If you use a full AoE team, you can deal say 45 damage to all enemies = 135 overall damage in one turn. Don't see any problem with Sai getting a bit of such boost too, he pretty much just balances the chances versus AoE's.

Thesehaa been times I have been able to do 100+ damage because of adaptive painting. Here have been times I've done 100 damage with gaara lee or Takashi. As long as it requires a prereq I don't think it's op. If anything just prioritize Sai

Kind of hard to prioritize Sai when he is ran with double invisible counter users that shield him once that skill is up. I get it punishes AoE skills, but the punishment is ridiculous and lasts too long. As for AoE doing 135 in one turn - yes they can; but they don't do it to one character that is one-shot just because a damage buff exists that triggers for every skill and every tick of damage against every character in your party.

Strong, yes. OP, clearly, no
It can be easily countered, stunned, plus it gives you balance in front of AOE teams.

Good incentive to not play AOE atm. Ive been seeing him every 3-4 games.

He becomes invulnerable if stunned.

All in all, I think Sai should remain exactly as he is. It is the ONLY good counter against the stupid shikamaru/full aoe stun/dmg teams.
