This suggestion is awful. The current system in place is perfect and think it should remain like this so no person has an unfair advantage over another in terms of chakra specifically. Ideally you balance your team to cover the different chakras, if you have a whole team relying on the same chakra and don’t seem to be getting it in a certain game, well that’s all part of the game and the randomness makes it fun and more fair especially in 1v1 situations imo

the chakra system is doable but far from perfect. losing bc you got all the wrong chakra but you were perfectly set up and would've won otherwise is frustrating.

the only concern is that team like Shika, Ino, Sai won't have any chance for playing long games

I haven't seen anyone mention this so sorry if it was stated before but why don't they just implement a re-roll button that works once every turn or once every 2 turns. Let the button be unusable if any action is taken in the turn before using it.

What this does is sacrifices the ability for the play to "store" chakra while causing some buffer to extraordinarily bad rolls. The idea is it is more difficult get extremely unlucky twice or thrice in a row. (remembering my game when I got 0 0 0 9 after 3 turns sigh). Just clarifying it would re-roll all chakra and not just chakra gained in that turn.

Anyway this idea keeps the randomness, while still providing some minor punishment for abusing the re-rolls. Other drawbacks such as gaining one less chakra after re-roll or having a longer cooldown on the re-roll the more you use it could also be explored. Also this should be possible as the current chakra exchange system and the greying out of moves does something similar. Make it a fifth skill on every character if needs be and call it charge chakra.

If not I still like the idea of 3 for 1 chakra or two specific for another chakra. Also I had an idea on the past of being able to see the next turn's chakra but I don't believe that solves the randomness in and of it self. Thats my two cents.

I would improve the chakra exchange from 5 to 3 and once per match, but overall the system is ok. RNG is what makes this game great.

I was watching some old gameplays on YouTube (from 2006 to 2008, in the first era of NA) and back then some matches had the same "issue". It's not bronken, just RNJesus getting you bad blesses sometimes

Can someone give me a good reason why the exchange rate should not be 4:1? I don't see how that is bad for the game, it literally improves the skill gap. I'm genuinely curious why this would be a bad update.

I mean I GUESS, the bigger the skill gap the harder it is to recruit new players, but the game is simple to learn.
